Lukaku Struggles for Belgium

 Out of form Romelu Lukaku once again fails to impress in Euro 2024 match, while Jeremy Doku and Leandro Trossard also struggle in a draw.

In another memorable Euro 2024 match, an out-of-form Romelu Lukaku played, but both Jeremy Doku and Leandro Trossard were also ineffective in a draw. Despite Domenico Tedesco's team finishing second in Group E and advancing to the knockout stages, they did not seem like contenders in Stuttgart. Belgium reached the round of 16 in Euro 2024, but they will need significant improvement to win more matches in the competition, following their struggle to a scoreless draw with Ukraine in their last Group E match.

During the match in Stuttgart, Romelu Lukaku had a great opportunity in the first half but scuffed his shot into Anatoliy Trubin's hands after receiving a brilliant through-ball from Kevin De Bruyne. Although Ukraine didn't threaten goalie Koen Casteels much, they did create more opportunities before halftime.

The second half followed a similar pattern: Artem Dovbyk, the top scorer in La Liga the previous season, caused problems for Belgium, and Georgiy Sudakov missed a fantastic late chance for Ukraine. Substitute Yannick Carrasco also wasted a good breakaway before testing Trubin moments later.

Belgium held out and secured a match against France on Monday. Meanwhile, Ukraine's late attempt to score a goal was unsuccessful, and they will be eliminated from the game despite finishing with four points in a closely contested group.
