Arsenal in Talks for PSG Star, Nearing Club-Record Deal

Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have begun negotiations on the signing of Fabian Ruiz.

A transfer specialist has provided details on how such a move may be financed, and a club-record agreement with Fulham is getting closer to completion.

The Gunners, who have placed second in the previous two Premier League campaigns, intend to bolster their team this summer to go one step further.

Even though Mikel Arteta's team hasn't added any new players to their roster, Arsenal is actively working to bolster their squad with superior players.

The first of those transactions, for Riccardo Calafiori of Bologna, is anticipated to be made public once the Gunners and the Serie A team ultimately agree on a price of €50 million (£42.1 million).

Arsenal had three major priorities heading into the summer transfer window. The first was a left-sided center-half, which the Italy star is expected to address shortly.

But Ruiz, another standout at Euro 2024, could soon join Calafiori at Emirates Stadium since they also have a new midfielder and a prolific new striker on their radar.

Playing in six of the seven games as Luis de la Fuente won the competition for a record-tying fourth time, the Spain midfielder was a key member of the winning squad this summer at the European Championships.

At PSG, though, things are a little different because of the fierce rivalry for starting positions, which limited Ruiz's playing time to only 14 Ligue 1 starts in the previous campaign.
