But, since Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly a big fan of Saliba and is pressuring Real Madrid to ensure they're in a position to attempt and sign him the following year, 2025 might pose a severe challenge to Arsenal.
In the eyes of the North London club, they still have plenty of time to work with the Frenchman to secure a lucrative new contract and persuade him to stay.
Gabriel Jesus, the France international's colleague at Arsenal, called him an "exceptional talent" after recently achieving success for both club and country.
However, any interest Real may have in the Gunners player will probably come with a hefty price tag.
It's been said that Arsenal will demand a significant quantity of money, over £100 million, before even entertaining the idea of selling one of the first names on Arteta's squad sheet.
But Saliba to Madrid is someone to keep an eye on in the future, particularly if he continues to perform at the same level at Euro 2024 and then for the Gunners the following season.
