Chelsea in Turmoil as Legends Spar Over Club's Path

 The 'direction' of Italian club Como has been the subject of a dispute between Chelsea legends Cesc Fabregas and Dennis Wise.

Five years ago, Wise became a consultant at Como and was subsequently appointed CEO in 2021.

The Englishman has been instrumental in their ascent from Serie C to Serie A, facilitating their progression through the football pyramid.

In the interim, Fabregas, a former Chelsea midfielder, served as the assistant coach of Como during the 2023/24 Serie B promotion-winning campaign.

He has since been designated as the head coach, resulting in greater influence over the club's decisions.

One of those appears to be Wise's departure as CEO, despite his accomplishments in the position.

Wise announced his departure from the Italian club on Instagram, emphasizing that it was not his decision.

"It is with a heavy heart that I leave Como 1907," he indicated.

"I wish the club continued success in the future." I profoundly appreciate the opportunities and experiences I have encountered during my tenure at Como 1907. It has been an extraordinary voyage.

"The team, the coaching staff, and our devoted fans have provided us with abundant support, and I will always treasure the memories we have shared."

"Our significant progress and re-entry into Serie A during my tenure with the club have been a source of immense pride for me."

 I am writing to express my gratitude for the collective endeavor that enabled this to be accomplished.

Their unwavering support and passion have been the impetus behind my attainment of the success they deserve.
