Erling Haaland has made it clear to Manchester City that he wants to join Real Madrid.

Fichajes claims that Haaland has made it apparent that he wants to sign for Real Madrid to play alongside fellow superstars Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., and Kylian Mbappe.

Although the timing of Haaland's relocation to Madrid is unclear from the story, the summer of 2025 will likely be the most likely.

This is because it is doubtful that Pep Guardiola will sign an extension before his contract expires at the end of the upcoming campaign.

Haaland, who joined Man City for the second time this season after joining Borussia Dortmund in 2022, has 90 goals in 98 outings.

However, it's generally acknowledged that Haaland will be a short-term resident at the Etihad.

Haaland considers moving to Madrid a fantasy, as his agent Rafaela Pimenta acknowledged earlier this year.

According to Pimenta, Real Madrid has a unique quality that makes it the players' paradise. "There is the Premier League, and there is Real Madrid."

"Madrid continues to work its spell. The Champions League is present; however, there isn't a league tournament.

Our goal at my agency is to create a plan. We must devise a strategy. We must have a purpose. We might not succeed, but we will undoubtedly fail if we don't know where we're heading.

Haaland has a €200 million release clause that will take effect in the summer of 2024.

The Athletic claims that only non-Premier League clubs are eligible for that release clause.

Additionally, it is said that the release clause will be reduced annually after it is active in 2024.

According to reports, Haaland has a second minimum fee release clause of €175 million, which will go into effect in the summer of 2025. In 2026, it will then drop once again.
