EXCLUSIVE: Man Utd consider Sporting CP midfielder as PSG maintain Ugarte price

Manchester United is considering acquiring Morten Hjulmand from Sporting Lisbon, according to Sportyt360.

Despite reports to the contrary, club sources at Paris Saint-Germain have informed us that no offers or proposals have been made for Manuel Ugarte. Ultimately, the Premier League heavyweights are unwilling to match their €70 million asking price.

Hjulmand is perceived as slightly less combative than Ugarte, and his positional discipline and experience working in a possession-based team are valued. Youssouf Fofana is an additional, less costly alternative.

Monaco has informed Man Utd that they must pay €35 million to acquire him, and the Frenchman is currently under consideration.

We have been informed that Sofyan Amrabat will not participate in any of Fiorentina's three preseason matches while they are touring England. There are currently no proposals for the midfielder, and there is interest from other organizations.

If Aaron Wan-Bissaka departs Old Trafford, Manchester United is investigating alternative options. Vanderson, also from Monaco, and Lutsharel Geertruida, who is from Feyenoord, are names they revere.

However, Erik ten Hag is focused on Bayern Munich's Noussair Mazraoui. The defender is another player the Dutchman believes would be a good fit in his tactical system and would only cost €20m.

Antonio Silva is reinstated as an alternative.

We know that Antonio Silva has emerged as a potential candidate for Manchester United, even though a transfer is considered unlikely, as the club is currently experiencing difficulty identifying a central defender.

Silva's agent, Jorge Mendes, continues to pursue a transfer from Benfica. Silva's versatility in the defense, particularly on the left side where he can replace Lisandro Martinez, has impressed some of Manchester United's recruitment team members.

Benfica has previously demanded that the defender's €100m release clause be fully met; however, it is now anticipated that the amount would be significantly lower.

Bayern Munich has declined all verbal offers for Matthijs de Ligt, and Manchester United are currently unable to satisfy their valuation of €50 million. There have been discussions regarding a payment structure; however, no compromise has been achieved.

Official proposals for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, valued at €40 million plus add-ons and €53 million plus €7 million in add-ons, have also been rejected.

Branthwaite continues to be the primary objective, as previously reported. He is the player that the club has admired since last summer, and negotiations between the player's representatives and the Red Devils have continued throughout the year, culminating in a verbal agreement on a contract agreement.

According to club sources at Everton, the takeover won't impact their summer plans, and they'll only consider strong proposals.

The possibility of a deal for the 22-year-old still exists; however, Manchester United must sell additional players to pay for the teenager. Scott McTominay, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Victor Lindelof are all available for purchase.

Nevertheless, as former captain Maguire could remain, his presence in the dressing room and experience could benefit the younger defenders.
