Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has shared his predictions for the winners of Euro 2024 after witnessing the group rounds.
After departing Anfield at the end of the season, Klopp is having a great time on the Spanish island of Majorca.
The 57-year-old claims he has no intention of retiring from football but intends to take an extended break to refuel.
I've always wanted a house in the south," he told Bild about his life in Majorca and the £3.4 million eco-villa he owns on the Balearic island. I enjoy the people, the weather, and the environment."
"There are a lot of things I like here, and I already know many people," he continued. It's not as though I'm trying to make new friends. I already have lifelong pals, so it's okay if some are also present."
In addition to discussing life in Majorca, Klopp was questioned about who he thought would win the European Championship this summer. He is rooting for Spain, which is playing well under Luis de la Fuente. "At the moment, it looks a little bit like Spain could do it," he stated. "But Germany is good, France can be good, and England will be better." Additionally, Klopp shared his prediction for the winner of this summer's Copa America, saying, "Argentina. or Brazil. Or Colombia. or Uruguay. Alisson and I texted yesterday, and I'm unable to decide." In the meantime, Luis de la Fuente thinks his team should be favored for Euro 2024 after their resounding 4-1 victory over Georgia on Sunday. "The objective is to win another match, knowing that we are going to play against Germany," he stated. "We have the best team and players in the world, with all due respect to the other guys. That does not guarantee a victory, but we will need help to get it. Every squad has weaknesses. Both our strengths and shortcomings are unique to us.
