Manchester City's Ederson Reportedly Agrees to Personal Terms with Saudi Club

This summer, the Brazilian goalkeeper may be en route to Saudi Arabia.

Ederson, the goalkeeper for Manchester City, has purportedly reached a personal agreement with one of the most prominent clubs in Saudi Arabia. This decision was made in response to a remarkable two-year proposal.

Over 300 appearances for the incumbent Premier League champions have been recorded by the 30-year-old Brazil international, who transferred to City from Benfica in 2017 for an estimated £35 million.

During that period, he has won six league titles, two FA Cups, and the Champions League under Pep Guardiola, whom Ederson recently called the greatest coach in football history.

"Pep is equivalent to a GPS," he clarified. "You input the address, and it provides you with a list of alternatives, including the most suitable option for us." Then, you continue to follow.

"I believe Pep is the greatest ever, and I believe he is living football 24 hours a day; it is truly remarkable."

Nevertheless, the Brazilian shot-stopper may depart England this summer despite having spent seven seasons in Manchester that were replete with trophies.

According to journalist Gianluigi Longari, Ederson has reached an agreement with Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr regarding his circumstances. He has also stated that negotiations with Manchester City will commence now.

Al Nassr is presently searching for a new goalkeeper following the termination of his contract with the Riyadh-based club following the departure of their first-choice shot-stopper, David Ospina.

Unsurprisingly, they are prepared to invest the necessary funds to achieve this goal.

According to Cesar Luis Merlo, Al Nassr has submitted a proposal to Ederson for €60 million [£51 million] over two years. This amount is equivalent to approximately £490,000 per week.

Al Nassr was one of the most active clubs during the transfer window last summer, signing Otavio, Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles.

Nevertheless, Mane may be departing this summer. According to the Daily Mail, Al Nasr will consider proposals for the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich forward.

Consequently, they are considering a potential successor, Moussa Diaby, who is currently at Aston Villa. Before joining the Premier League in a reported £51.9 million transfer, Diaby was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
