According to The Sun, Simons' departure from PSG is expected to be initially on a loan basis with a mandatory purchase option. This strategy is partially the result of a substantial sell-on clause due to his former club, PSV Eindhoven, and is set to expire at the end of 2024. Simons was re-signed by PSG from PSV in 2023 for a nominal fee of £5 million ($6.5 million). However, he is now expected to demand approximately £70 million ($90 million).
Simons, who is 21 years old, is eager to participate in regular first-team matches, which has resulted in uncertainty regarding his destiny at PSG.
