Manchester United Nears Big Striker Signing as Rival Club Head Concedes Defeat

Manchester United is inching closer to acquiring Joshua Zirkzee following a highly encouraging update from Bologna's technical director regarding the center forward.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has achieved a significant goal by recruiting Dan Ashworth, even though Manchester United have yet to announce any new signings this summer. After expressing his intention to depart Newcastle United and become involved in the thrilling project at Old Trafford, developed by INEOS, the sporting director had been on gardening leave since February.

Newcastle attempted to prevent Manchester United from acquiring Ashworth by requesting substantial compensation. However, the two clubs reached an accord on Monday, and the 53-year-old has been granted permission to work under Ratcliffe.

Ashworth will be instrumental in the augmentation of Erik ten Hag's squad by acquiring new players and expelling undesirable ones.

The FA and Brighton mastermind has the potential to commence his tenure with a transformative double agreement. According to reports, Ashworth and Manchester United are progressing in pursuing Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich. Zirkzee, a Dutch national, may follow de Ligt to Old Trafford.

It has been recently reported that Manchester United are intensifying their pursuit of Zirkzee and are currently in "advanced discussions" with Bologna regarding a potential agreement.

Giovanni Sartori, the technical director of Bologna, has recently praised the Red Devils. During an Italian event, Sartori was questioned about the center-forward's future. In 37 games during the previous season, he scored 12 goals and provided seven assists.

"Joshua has a clause, which means he will leave 99.9 percent of the time," Sartori retorted.

Joshua Zirkzee's transfer to Manchester United is getting closer.
Sartori is alluding to a provision in Zirkzee's contract that states that he will release €40 million (£34 million). When checking out other strikers, Man Utd have been quoted enormous fees—some as high as £80–100 million—but Zirkzee is quite affordable.

Even though he isn't a prolific goal scorer yet, at 23 years old, he still has plenty of time to realize his enormous potential and establish himself as one of Europe's most dangerous strikers.

Because of Zirkzee's outstanding all-around play, Man Utd has drawn similarities to Harry Kane, a player they had previously attempted to sign.

Man Utd supporters will be eager to watch Zirkzee's performance at the team after he has become one of Bologna's most vital players in recent years.
It will be intriguing to see how the youthful combo of Zirkzee and Hojlund fare under Ten Hag next season, though, since Man Utd are expected to acquire a striker with far more experience than current No. 9 Rasmus Hojlund.
