The goal for Real Madrid in the upcoming season is to retain both the La Liga and Champions League crowns. Kylian Mbappe's arrival in the summer has already improved their prospects of succeeding.
After his contract at PSG expired, the French World Cup winner signed a free-agency contract at Santiago Bernabeu, ending the protracted tale.
However, Mbappe hasn't only made one recent move. In reality, he will also take over a French football team.
According to Le Parisien (via GOAL), Mbappe will spend less than €20 million (£17 million/$22 million) to buy most of SM Caen's shares.
The remaining €5 million (£4.2 million/$5.4 million) worth of shares will be held by Pierre-Antin Capton.
With this, Mbappe will become one of the youngest club owners in football history. Currently, SM Caen competes in France's Ligue 2.
Real Madrid star to take ownership of French club Caen: The team is actually rather strong and, with the correct decisions, could have a promising future. In Ligue 2, the team placed sixth the previous year. Over the years, they have been represented by elite players such as William Gallas and N'Golo Kante.
Naturally, all we can do is wish Mbappe success as he begins his football club-owner career. His on-field accomplishments will, however, be the main source of worry for Real Madrid supporters.
Let's see if he can travel outside France and still perform at an elite level.

Mbappe will also have a point to make. In addition to playing for the team he grew up rooting for, he is joining this team because of his lackluster performance in the EURO 2024 campaign, which left the French national team lacking when he led the line.
