Real Madrid in Hunt for Man City Star

The two most notable teams in European football in recent years have been Real Madrid and Manchester City. Presumably, they have faced off against one another multiple times in the UEFA Champions League knockout stages, with the victorious team typically going on to win the title.

A few Manchester City players have recently been connected to Real Madrid. Anticipate the rumors about Erling Haaland to surface again soon.

Despite Haaland's positive feelings at Manchester City, one of his teammates appears to be thinking about his future. It's Julian Alvarez, the player.

Alvarez has demonstrated his ability to succeed at the club and international levels. The 24-year-old's trophy cabinet is something that many legends could not match.

However, he has occasionally been on the bench during crucial games for Manchester City. And that seems to have caused the World Cup winner from Argentina to have some second thoughts.

Real Madrid can sign Manchester City star
Like any player of his caliber, the Argentine has freely acknowledged that he dislikes missing out on crucial games. According to Fabrizio Romano, Alvarez stated:

"I was one of the Man City team's players with the most minutes the previous season. However, it is true. Ultimately, you want to play in those crucial games and contribute, so you don't like being left out."

Alvarez continued when speaking about his circumstances at Manchester City:

"I feel well at City. All players want to play more, but I'm content right now. I haven't paused to consider my course of action in detail. I'll take some time after the Olympics to reflect on my goals."

Alvarez and Real Madrid have been connected several times in the past. It seemed impossible that he would be leaving Manchester City anytime soon.

It doesn't appear to be the situation anymore. What the 24-year-old chooses to do is still up in the air.

Of course, Alvarez has been linked to more than just Real Madrid in recent months. If the Argentine was available, teams like Chelsea and Arsenal might also try to make a move.

Furthermore, Manchester City has demonstrated no problem with their players joining other teams.
