"Saudi investors poised for another Chelsea rescue with 'exciting' move for player Maresca rejects."

There are rumors that Kepa Arrizabalaga, a free agent, could be signed by the Saudi Pro League this summer, thus saving Chelsea once more.

Last summer, several Chelsea players left Stamford Bridge for the wealth of Saudi Arabia. The Blues attempted to sign midfielder N'Golo Kante to a new deal through multiple rounds of negotiations, but in the end, Kante joined Al-Ittihad on a free transfer.

Although Kante's departure disappointed Chelsea, Saudi Arabian officials did assist them with two other transfers.

Unwanted pair Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly joined Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal, respectively, and traveled to the Middle East.

Hakim Ziyech and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were among the other stars who were expected to travel to Saudi Arabia but chose to stay in Europe.

The fact that Chelsea was able to pay significantly more for Mendy and Koulibaly from Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal than European clubs would have for them infuriated rival supporters.

Chelsea received £17 million for Mendy and £20 million for Koulibaly. In turn, this significantly benefited Todd Boehly's team regarding their Financial Fair Play limits and acquisitions.

According to Rudy Galetti, a transfer insider at Sporty3600, Chelsea may receive an additional financial infusion during the current transfer window as the Saudis prepare to acquire goalkeeper Kepa.

In particular, Al-Ittihad is observing a potential deal for Kepa, which could result in his reunion with Kante and the possibility of playing alongside other renowned players, including Fabinho and Karim Benzema.

It has been reported in Spain that Al-Ittihad is preparing to make an "exciting" play for Kepa, although the precise value of their bid has not yet been determined.

Meanwhile, Galetti disclosed that the extremely affluent club is still negotiating with Brazilian shot-stopper Bento, their primary objective. However, Al-Ittihad will pursue Kepa if Bento cannot be signed.

Boehly and Chelsea will be thrilled if the 29-year-old departs for Saudi Arabia in a lucrative deal, as his value will quickly diminish as he approaches the conclusion of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Kepa was on loan at Real Madrid last season, providing coverage for the injured Thibaut Courtois. However, the Spaniard sustained an injury himself and was compelled to serve as a reserve to the team's average third-choice goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin, upon his return to full fitness.
