Spain's training session footage before their Euro 2024 semi-final match against France has gone viral as they continue to dominate this summer's tournament.
One of the most thrilling teams to observe in Germany is Luis de la Fuente's team.
They are the sole team in the competition to have won all its matches. They defeated Croatia, Italy, and Albania in the group stage before defeating Georgia and Germany to advance to the semi-finals.
In total, Spain has scored 11 goals. Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams remain a persistent menace on both flanks. Fabio Ruiz and Pedri, unavailable for the remainder of the tournament, maintain a dominant position in the center.
In favor of a more direct approach, La Roja have somewhat abandoned their previous 'tiki-taka' style of play, which has been quite successful thus far.
"It is illogical to neglect the options of Lamine, Nico, Ferran (Torres), or Ayoze (Perez) if we possess players with the aforementioned pace," stated De la Fuente earlier in the tournament. "In these types of circumstances, we are extremely hazardous."
Training undoubtedly demonstrates that creative freedom. Before the highly anticipated match against France on Tuesday, footage has surfaced of the squad engaging in an impressive skill-based exercise.
The footage below demonstrates that each participant is holding a cone as they execute kick-ups while running.
The player in question must then lower their cone over a pole, ensuring that the ball remains in the air before passing it to a teammate.
De la Fuente is "absolutely convinced" that his team has the potential to advance to the finals following their late victory over Germany in the quarter-final.
"This is a horse that will win," he declared. "I am proud to coach players who are insatiable, such as these." They are accustomed to competing at the highest level and have the potential to win the tournament.
The Spaniard further stated, "I am proud of our ability to represent our country." We are unequivocally certain that this side has the potential to achieve significant success.
"We are exceedingly pleased; however, our euphoria is entirely contained." We are aware that tomorrow is already a new day.
