Tottenham in pursuit of £120 million duo, Romano says; Postecoglou's priorities clear

This summer, Tottenham has made two noteworthy acquisitions, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall. However, their pursuit of a squad capable of competing for trophies still needs to be completed.

The acquisition of a new winger is one of Ange Postecoglou's top priorities for the upcoming transfer window. As previously reported, Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze is at the top of his shortlist.

Due to a release clause in his contract, the 26-year-old, who was a member of the England squad that advanced to the Euro 2024 final, is available for £60 million.

Eze can be an attacking midfielder or a left winger to contend with Tottenham's James Maddison, Son Heung-min, Richarlison, and Manor Solomon.

In recent weeks, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City have been associated with Eze. Reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Spurs are seriously contemplating a bid for Eze.

Romano stated that Spurs appreciated Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace during his Playback Live Show.

He is one of many attacking players from the Premier League that Postecoglou is interested in.

Tottenham is considering submitting a proposal for Pedro Neto

According to Romano, Tottenham's shortlist also includes Wolves winger Pedro Neto.

"We consistently recommend Pedro Neto to Tottenham, regardless of the other options available. This is a fact." The addition of Romano.

Tottenham is interested in both Eze and Pedro Neto, and they have determined the amount they wish to allocate to fill that position.

"There is an internal discussion, but they will certainly add an offensive player to that position."

Romano does not disclose the amount of money that Tottenham has allocated for Eze or Neto; however, both players are valued at £60 million by their respective clubs and are unlikely to fluctuate.

According to many, Eze was the most exceptional athlete at Crystal Palace last season. In 31 appearances across all competitions, he scored 11 goals and provided six assists. This performance was well-deserved, securing him a place in the England squad.

Neto embarked on a blistering start to the previous season, contributing seven assists and one goal in his initial ten Premier League matches. However, his season was abruptly cut short by a hamstring injury.

Upon his return, the 24-year-old encountered difficulty in regaining his previous level of performance, and he subsequently sustained the same injury once more. Last term, he was unable to participate in 23 games as a result of an injury.
Neto is unquestionably a top-tier player when he is completely fit, and it is unsurprising that prestigious clubs such as Tottenham are competing for his signature.
The upcoming days will be intriguing to observe whether Spurs will submit offers for both players or launch a concrete bid for Eze or Neto, as Romano indicates.
