Winger Diaby joins Al-Ittihad from Aston Villa

Moussa Diaby, a winger from France, has transferred to Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Arabian club, from Aston Villa.

After signing a five-year contract with Villa Park for a club record fee of £51.9m from Bayer Leverkusen last July, the 25-year-old departs the club after only one season.

Diaby scored ten goals in 54 appearances for Villa, which enabled them to finish fourth in the Premier League and qualify for the Champions League.

"Villans, I am grateful for your assistance." Diaby stated on X, "It is time to bid you farewell."

"I have consistently contributed my best efforts to support the club and the team, and we have shared some unforgettable experiences that will forever be etched in my mind."
We have experienced an exceptional season punctuated by instances of pleasure and happiness.

Douglas Luiz, a midfielder, was transferred to Juventus for £42.4m last month as Villa prepares for the upcoming season.

Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea were acquired from the Italian club. In contrast, left-back Ian Maatsen was acquired from Chelsea for £35m and winger Lewis Dobbin from Everton for approximately £9m.

Villa finalized the acquisition of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana for £50 million on Tuesday.

The club has also re-signed Jaden Philogene from Hull, paying approximately £13.5m for the English winger, less than 12 months after selling him to the Tigers.
