Arsenal Exploring Bayern Munich Winger Option.

Arsenal has reportedly identified a Bayern Munich winger as a prospective summer transfer target.

Riccardo Calafiori is the sole notable newcomer, as the Gunners have thus far experienced a relatively calm period in the market.

Nevertheless, the sale of Emile Smith Rowe, an Indigenous talent, has resulted in a substantial fee, and additional transactions are expected to occur in the future, with Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah being mentioned as potential candidates for departure.

Mikel Arteta is faced with the challenge of ensuring that Arsenal adheres to all squad registration regulations regarding the inclusion of academy graduates in their squad, or else he will be compelled to reduce the size of his team.

However, the Spaniard is still searching for individuals who will not assist in meeting the criteria for that role.

Arsenal have included Bayern winger Kingsley Coman on their shortlist in anticipation of the transfer window's conclusion, as reported by Football Insider.

Vincent Kompany's potential departure from the Allianz Arena has been extensively documented since his arrival.

Last season, Coman was limited to 17 appearances in the Bundesliga, where he scored three goals and provided three assists due to knee and adductor injuries.

Despite his recovery in time to compete at Euro 2024, he only appeared as a substitute once, and his sole appearance for Bayern during the preseason was against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Bayern does not need to be in a hurry to part ways with the 28-year-old, particularly when money is being generated through other transactions, as three years are remaining on his contract.

However, the report suggests that Arsenal is keen to negotiate a loan agreement with Coman, which could benefit the player and his club.

Is it necessary for Arsenal to have a player of the same caliber as Coman?

Arteta primarily aims to sign an additional central midfielder and center forward. He anticipates that Mikel Merino of Real Sociedad will fulfill the former requirement.

In the final third, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka are the preferred flank options.

If Nelson relocates, a fifth option is realistically necessary, although Gabriel Jesus may also be included when necessary.

However, Coman purportedly seeks guarantees regarding his game time, potentially impeding negotiations.
