Arteta's Unusual Tactics: Pickpockets in Gunners' Midst

 

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta disciplined his team by having them play pickpocket professionally.

Arsenal's manager, Arteta, is well known for inspiring his team with unconventional methods. In the All or Nothing documentary, the Gunners manager was seen using a light bulb during a team discussion and bringing an olive tree into a meeting.

 He even brought "Win," the dog he had acquired, to the training grounds. As reported by The Athletic, he has now conveyed a message using skilled illusionists.

The report claims that Arteta invited the pickpockets into the room during a team supper and instructed them to work on the squad. 

When the dinner was over, the Spaniard got up and requested the players to take their money out of their pockets. Many people had lost stuff, so Arteta utilized the act to instill in his players the importance of being vigilant at all times.

As Arteta gets ready for his fifth season at Arsenal, their goal is to fight Manchester City for the top spot in the Premier League once more. They came just two points behind Pep Guardiola's team last season.

Arsenal's final preseason friendly is against Lyon on Sunday. The Premier League opener is against Wolves the following weekend.
