Williams was Spain's best player when they won Euro 2024. He had several great games while playing on the left wing. He is only 22 years old, so his game still has much room for improvement.
Barça wants to buy into that idea; they bought Dani Olmo this summer, and they think Williams would be open to joining fellow hot prospect Lamine Yamal at Catalunya. Athletic, on the other hand, would not want to sell.

They are doing everything they can to keep Williams, and it was announced that they gave the young player their No. 10 shirt for 2024–25. He will wear it after famous forward Iker Muniain. Williams told the club's news service, "Very happy to wear Muniain's number 10 and make history like he did."
WHAT'S NEXT?
Williams has been training with Athletic again since the start of the season, but he missed their recent friendly match in Germany against Stuttgart. They will play Getafe at home on Thursday to start their 2024–25 La Liga season. A valuable player may play in that game.
