Bayern Valuing Davies at €50M Amid Madrid Interest

For a period, it appeared that Real Madrid intended to sign Alphonso Davies as a free agent next summer when his contract with Bayern Munich is due to expire.

The enhanced fitness and performances of Ferland Mendy have significantly bolstered Carlo Ancelotti's team, and they are now in a position to wait for the Canadian international.

However, Bayern Munich cannot be compared to this.

They have yet to agree on a contract extension with Davies, and the club will undoubtedly be apprehensive about losing one of their most prominent players as a free agent.

Bayern Munich's board has indicated that they would prefer to transfer Davies this summer and collect a fee rather than allow him to depart for free in 2025, as AS and the German press reported.

The Bundesliga club is seeking approximately €50 million for the transfer; however, the contract could be finalized at approximately €30 million.

That would be an extremely reasonable, and even a bargain, transfer fee for one of Europe's most accomplished left-backs. How Real Madrid addresses the situation remains to be determined.

Bayern Munich generates €50 million. Alphonso Davies' decision in the context of Real Madrid's involvement

Real Madrid preferred to delay the acquisition of Davies by one year. However, they may now be required to take action.

It is anticipated that Davies will interest clubs throughout Europe, particularly in light of the transfer fee. However, the player will also have a significant impact.

Davies could opt to remain in his current position for an additional season and extend his contract, as Mbappe did at PSG last season. Therefore, we should observe the course of this predicament in the upcoming weeks.
