It is said that Brighton & Hove Albion are almost done getting a new attacker while another agrees to go on loan to another team.
Since Fabian Hurzeler became head coach, the Seagulls have already been busy in the summer transfer window, spending over £75 million to get five new players.
The club-record signing of winger Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle United for about £33 million might be the most impressive addition.
Mats Wieffer, Malick Yalcouye, and Amario Cozier-Duberry have also moved permanently to Brighton. Mats Wieffer came from Feyenoord and cost around £25 million to join.
Ibrahim Osman is another player who joined the Seagulls this summer. In January, a deal was made with the Danish team Nordsjaelland for a permanent move of £16 million.
He agrees to go on loan to Feyenoord.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano says that Brighton and Feyenoord have agreed to loan the winger to Brighton, but they cannot buy it. This means that the 19-year-old will be leaving soon, albeit briefly.
At some point on Wednesday, the Eredivisie club might reveal that Osman has arrived after he goes through a medical on Tuesday.
The two-time Ghanaian international played 44 times for Nordsjaelland last season, scored 10 goals, and set up 8 others. Since then, he has played in all four of Brighton's pre-season matches this summer.
Brighton is about to sign one of their top summer targets, while Osman is about to leave.
Fabrizio Romano, a journalist, says that Brighton is almost done with the deal to sign Mainz 05 attacker Brajan Gruda regularly.
Brighton is almost done getting Gruda for £25 million.
Romano also says that the Seagulls and the Bundesliga team have agreed to a £25 million fee to sign the 20-year-old player. Hurzeler has been interested in the player since he joined Brighton in July.
Gruda signed with Mainz when he was 14 years old in 2018. He made his senior debut for the club in January 2023, just two months after signing his first professional deal.
The attacking player, who can also play on the right wing, had a big year with Mainz in 2023–24, scoring four goals and setting up three others in 28 Bundesliga games.
Gruda has been linked with Bayern Munich in the past. He is of Albanian descent, but he played for Germany from Under-15 to Under-21, making seven international appearances for the Under-21 team.
If Gruda moves to Brighton official, the young player will likely have to fight with Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, Solly March, and Simon Adingra to start every game for Hurzeler's team.
