Celtic Acquires Proven Talent in Permanent Deal

It is said that Celtic and Norwich City have agreed to terms on a permanent deal for striker Adam Idah.

The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with the Scottish giants. He did very well under Brendan Rodgers' guidance, hitting nine goals in seven starts and 12 substitute appearances.

In the Scottish Cup final, Idah scored the game-winning goal against Old Firm rivals Rangers, which helped Celtic keep the title.

Since then, the Republic of Ireland player has gone back to his parent club Norwich, where he was due to be punished for not showing up for the flight to Austria for pre-season training with the Canaries.

But Idah was in the matchday group for Norwich's first Championship game of the new season last weekend. He became a substitute in the second half as Norwich lost 2-0 to Oxford United.

Idah is going to Celtic to sign a fixed deal.
It is thought that Idah has made it clear that he wants to join Celtic. Talks between the Scottish giants and Norwich have been going on all summer.

According to Sky Sports News, Norwich turned down Celtic's first offer of £4 million in July. However, last week, the two clubs resumed talks after receiving a better deal thought to be in excess of £6 million plus add-ons.

The story also says that the Hoops and Norwich have agreed to pay a total of £9.5 million to sign Idah. This includes an initial fee of £8.5 million plus an extra £1 million in add-ons.

It is also said that Norwich added a 15% sell-on option to the deal for Idah, who is ready to agree to terms on a long-term deal with Celtic.

Idah is going to get a test in the next few days before he makes his official move to Parkhead.

Idah was praised by Celtic manager Rodgers.
Rodgers has called Idah a "big-game player" who made an "immense" difference at the club last season. The striker's likely return to Celtic is a massive boost for the manager.

When asked in May if he would re-sign Idah, Rodgers told reporters, "The board knows how I feel about Adam; that's why we brought him in." He has really helped us move forward.

"I knew what I was getting because I saw him play when he was 18 in the Premier League." He has all of the traits. He's quick, active, and strong, and he should score goals if he were better placed.

"He's done so much for us, and it's clear that I'd like to do something with him. I've seen him get better, and that's what the game is all about: getting better. When it comes to Adam, I know he can do great things.

"He has worked really well with us as a team." People love him because he's such a good person. He also plays well in big games. He has stepped up for us in so many important times.

Idah could soon join Kasper Schmeichel, Viljami Sinisalo, and Paulo Bernardo as Celtic's fourth summer signing. Bernardo has made his loan move from last season permanent.
