Chelsea Eyes Nigerian Double: Osimhen, Omorodion in Transfer Spotlight

If Chelsea closes a deal to sign Samu Omorodion, a striker for Atletico Madrid, they might still sign Victor Osimhen.

The striker Osimhen of Napoli, who has been Chelsea's primary aim for the No. 9 position for some months, is expected to support them in their pursuit of Omorodion, according to transfer news analyst Ben Jacobs.

Napoli's demand that the Blues pay €120 million to match the release fee of the Nigerian international's contract has priced the forward out of a summer transfer to the team.

Additionally, PSG and Arsenal agree on a move, but the Serie A club has consistently frustrated  PSG, which has turned off Arsenal.

Omorodion hasn't caused any issues for Chelsea. The Spain U23 forward will join former Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu at Atletico Madrid this summer after agreeing to a move reportedly for €40 million.

Interestingly, Jacobs claims that a trade for Samu would not mean the end of their relationship with Osimhen.

Nicolas Jackson is already at Stamford Bridge, so Enzo Maresca seems to have a good unit of three center-forwards to choose from.

Although obtaining Samu's signature is Chelsea's top priority right now, insiders have revealed that negotiations over Osimhen continue, and club executives do not believe it is a yes or no decision.

In fact, there's a chance that acquiring Samu will enable them to sign the Napoli forward, as Jacobs reports for 90 minutes.

Can Osimhen and Omorodion be signed by Chelsea?
Osimhen compromising on a loan move is one scenario Chelsea, who will probably trade Romelu Lukaku to Napoli, may be waiting for.

The 25-year-old has previously stated that he wants to end things with Antonio Conte's team this summer and needs a contract guarantee. However, a loan would make him more accessible to the Stamford Bridge team.

Indeed, Osimhen may not receive the transfer of his desires because Napoli is having difficulty during discussions, but everyone expects that Chelsea's patience will pay off.
