Chelsea, Napoli Agree to Lukaku-Osimhen Swap

The Chelsea and Napoli swap deal has finally been agreed upon.

Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku will be moving teams.

Late Tuesday night, Gianluca Di Marzio said that Chelsea had finally agreed to the move and would try to make it happen.

Chelsea will pay a lot to get Osimhen, and Lukaku will move the other way as part of the deal.

Even though Chelsea has agreed to a change, it will be challenging to make this happen.

Osimhen has clarified that he will not move to Chelsea on loan. He wants to move permanently or be on loan with the option to buy.

Nigerians also won't take a pay cut from their €10 million yearly salary.

Chelsea doesn't want to agree to the €100 million price tag for Osimhen, so the transfer fee that Napoli will get must also be worked out.

But now people are ready to swap, which wasn't the case before.

Napoli wants to get rid of Osimhen this summer, so they can only make many other moves once they can.

As soon as Napoli sells Osimhen, they plan to replace him with Lukaku.

Also, Chelsea wants to eliminate Lukaku, and the Belgian player has clarified that he only wants to play for Napoli under his favorite boss, Antonio Conte.

In the past few weeks, Lukaku turned down a move to Aston Villa.

He is going to leave Napoli.

Osimhen has chosen to leave Napoli this summer, and the Italian club has agreed to sell him to help pay for the new boss, Conte, to make more signings.

When the 25-year-old missed a penalty for Bologna on TikTok, the club's social media team made fun of him, which hurt his friendship with Napoli last season.

It mainly was a lousy season for Osimhen on the field, and Napoli had a terrible time defending the Scudetto they won in 2022–23, finishing 10th in Serie A.

He scored 26 league goals in 32 games, making him a key player in the Scudetto campaign.
