The Blues are still reportedly interested in Napoli star Victor Osimhen, which shows they want to add more attack players.
Chelsea's interest in Wolves' Pedro Neto came out of the blue, but the deal is well underway. The Athletic reports that the Blues will pay €60 million (£51.4m/$65.5m) plus €3m in possible bonuses to get the Portuguese winger.
But that won't stop the West London club from trying to make a deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. He will add to their already large defense.
Also, Enzo Maresca's team is almost done with a deal to sign Samu Omorodion, a forward from Atletico Madrid. After signing eight players in the transfer window, Chelsea's way of building their team is easy to worry about.
However, Osimhen would be a player for the here and now; he's 25 years old and has already proven himself to be one of the best strikers in Europe by scoring 76 goals in 133 games for Napoli.
Fabrizio Romano says that even though Neto and Omorodion were already signed, Chelsea might still be looking for more striking players.
They want Osimhen, but the Nigerian player doesn't want to lower his pay or take out a loan. The Blues will only go through with the deal if Osimhen changes his mind.
We'll discover how badly Osimhen wants to leave Napoli in the next few days. Anyway, good luck to Maresca. If the striker comes in, it will be even harder for him to keep everyone in Chelsea's huge team happy.
