Chelsea's Pursuit of Omorodion Ends in Failure

Samu Omorodion, who plays for Atletico Madrid, will not move to Stamford Bridge after his deal fell through at the last minute.

The Spain international would be moving to Chelsea this summer. However, multiple stories say that the deal between Atletico and the Blues has fallen, and the young striker has returned to Madrid.

Relevo says that both teams and the player agreed to a transfer. The player went straight from Paris to London after helping Spain win the Olympic gold medal by beating the hosts in the final.

But the 20-year-old couldn't play in the gold medal game because he was hurt. It is said that the injury that kept him from playing in the Olympic final hurt his move because his medical with the West London club wasn't good enough.

Omorodion is no longer a choice for Enzo Maresca's team, so they are now talking about how to get Joao Felix back from Los Rojiblancos.

Felix was on loan at Chelsea for six months during the 2022–23 season. He then moved to Barcelona on loan for the rest of the season.

There were rumors that Omorodion's failed transfer would affect the moves of Conor Gallagher and Julian Alvarez to Atletico.

However, Relevo said that Diego Simeone's team is sure that they will be able to get the two players even though Omorodion's future is uncertain.
