David de Gea has been a free agent for 12 months since departing Manchester United, and his remuneration demands have been disclosed.
In the summer of 2023, the former Spain international departed Old Trafford upon the conclusion of his contract.
United discovered they were relocating differently from their four-time Player of the Year award recipient, as they recruited Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Since then, De Gea has been associated with clubs worldwide, including those in the United States and Turkey; however, no agreement has been reached.
The 33-year-old is currently on the brink of a return to action, but he has limited options to review.
Teams in Italy, including Fiorentina and Genoa, have been unable to satisfy De Gea's salary demands, as Sporty360 reported.
The same is true for clubs in Spain, where the Spaniard is reportedly seeking to earn between £4.2 million and £5 million ($6 million) annually, which translates to £80,000 to £96,000 per week.
The Saudi Pro League has the only teams that can afford such a contract. De Gea is purportedly negotiating with Al-Shabab and an additional unidentified team.
There is no progress; however, it is anticipated that the former Manchester United player will accompany Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates to the Middle East.
