Borussia Dortmund will be the team to sign German forward Maximilian Beier from Hoffenheim this summer.
Dortmund is the favorite to get Beier
Liverpool had plans to get him.
Put in an offer of €25 million for forward
At this point in the summer transfer window, Sky Sports says Dortmund is likelier than Liverpool to sign the 21-year-old forward.
Reports say that BVB made an initial offer of €25 million (£21 million or $27 million), but the player's current team, Hoffenheim, wants more money.
The 2023–24 Champions League runners-up want to add a striker to their team since Niclas Fullkrug left to join West Ham United earlier this month. During his 33 games with Hoffenheim last season, Beier had a great game. He scored 16 league goals and set up three others.
Earlier in the summer, it was said that Chelsea had also asked if the striker was available, but the Blues never made an official offer for the player.
The last game for Nuri Sahin's team will be on Saturday when they play Aston Villa. Their first game of the new season will be on August 17 in the first round of the DFB-Pokal against Phonix Lubeck.
