Endrick's Football Preferences Raise Eyebrows

 

Someone who used to play for Brazil has criticized Real Madrid's Endrick for saying that Sir Bobby Charlton was his youth hero and for choosing Jude Bellingham over Neymar.

In a recent interview with Delantero09, the 18-year-old new star for Real Madrid was asked to choose between Bellingham and Neymar as the better player. 

The youth chose his Real Madrid teammate over the Brazilian superstar. He also named the late Sir Bobby Charlton as one of his youth heroes, which surprised many people.

Now, Jose Ferreira Neto, a former Brazil international, has criticized the kid for the strange things he said in the interview. 

The teenager's choice of Bellingham over Neymar was also made fun of by older players on the Brazil national team, such as Raphinha and Thiago Silva, who shared laughing emojis on social media.

Neto, a forward who used to play for Corinthians and Santos, said on Os Donos da Bola, "Endrick doesn't know anything about football." How is it that he thinks Bellingham is like Neymar?

 Also, I don't like Neymar, but my kids love him. Would Bellingham or Neymar have been the better player? It's not funny. Neymar is much better.

"Then he brings up Bobby Charlton to be funny." You likely have no idea who Bobby Charlton is; you might think it's a brand of cigarettes. Want to be well-known? "He's just a simple player."

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti picked the young attacker to play in the UEFA Super Cup. He could make his start in a real game on Tuesday night when Real Madrid plays Atalanta.
