Felix Willing to Compromise on Wages for Chelsea Return

Joao Felix, a forward for Atletico Madrid, is said to be willing to take a pay cut to return to Chelsea.
Felix scored four goals in 20 league games while on loan at Stamford Bridge during the second half of the 2022–23 season. He then returned to his home club.

The 24-year-old then signed a season-long loan deal with Barcelona, scored 10 goals, and set up 6 others in 44 games during the 2023–24 season.

At first, it looked like Barcelona wanted to re-sign the Portugal international, but now it doesn't look like he'll return to the Catalan giants.

Felix could still go back to one of his old teams, though. Chelsea is currently in talks about a possible deal for the Atletico player.

Felix is ready to take a pay cut at Chelsea

An early goal for the Blues was to sign Felix's Atletico partner Samu Omorodion, but it became clear on Sunday night that the deal had fallen through.

The move of Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid is now being determined because the Spanish team needs to raise money to accommodate the signing of the England player.

Felix could help speed up the talks because, according to The Telegraph, he is ready to take a big pay cut to get back to Stamford Bridge.

A report says that Chelsea could sign Felix for less than £40 million, even though the player has a deal that runs until June 2029.

Felix has no future at the Civitas Metropolitano, and Atletico would rather sell him for good than deal him on loan again.

Because Felix can play as a second striker, a wide, or a number ten, he would give Enzo Maresca more options in attack while Chelsea is still looking to sign a striker.

Even though he can play as a center forward, Chelsea would still like to get a natural striker even if they sign the Portuguese defender.

The Blues won't keep trying to get Omorodion, so they're now looking for other forwards to sign.

Chelsea is still interested in Victor Osimhen, but they will only try to sign the Napoli player if they can borrow him for a while.

As for Omorodion, he is now being linked with moves to Bournemouth, Aston Villa, and Bayern Munich, who are currently the winner of the Bundesliga.
