Injury Woes Hit Man United Ahead of Community Shield

 Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has verified that four additional players are questionable for the Community Shield match due to injuries.

The Red Devils' pre-season tour of the United States is proving costly, as they have already experienced injuries to several of their first-team players before the commencement of the new 2024-25 season. 

Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will now require medical attention following the severe injuries sustained by the new signing of Leny Yoro and star forward Rasmus Hojlund. 

The three athletes all began the friendly match against Liverpool in South Carolina last week; however, none could complete the match.

Erik ten Hag, the club's manager, provided an update on the injury status of his squad before the first competitive encounter of the new season. 

He implied that at least four first-team defenders, including Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire, are expected to skip the Manchester derby.

In an interview with reporters, the Dutch manager stated, "Harry Maguire's absence from the match against Liverpool was a precautionary measure; however, his availability for Saturday remains uncertain."

 Therefore, we must conduct instruction to determine whether he is physically capable of being available. 

Victor is a player who is also a question mark, and Luke Shaw and [Wan-Bissaka] are both question marks. We will need to evaluate them tomorrow.

United will play their Premier League season opener against Fulham on August 16, following their match against their rivals at Wembley this Saturday.
