Kane's Classy Gesture After Bayern Beats Spurs

 After Bayern Munich beat Spurs in the pre-season Visit Malta Cup, Harry Kane wouldn't lift a prize in front of Tottenham's fans.

Bayern Munich beat Spurs in the preseason match at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Kane and Dier, who used to play for Spurs, came on as second-half replacements after being introduced to the crowd before the game. 

Kane was also clearly upset during the game. Even though his team won 3-2, Kane was seen shaking his head at his teammates and refused to lift the Visit Malta trophy out of respect for his old team. He had never won a trophy with North London.

Kane has been to six cup finals for his club and country but still has yet to win a big trophy. The 31-year-old has also won a runner-up spot in the Premier League at Spurs.

 In Kane's first season with Bayern, the team lost the German Super Cup and failed to win either the Bundesliga or the DFB-Pokal. 

The talented forward also lost heartbreakingly with England at Euro 2024. It was the second time in a row that he and his country lost in the tournament's final.

Kane will be keen to make his first trophy win a big one. He will start next week in the DFB-Pokal when Bayern plays second-tier team Ulm. 

Then, on August 25, the number nine will start his second Bundesliga season against Wolfsburg. He hopes Bayern can make up for not winning the title for the first time in 12 years.

Tottenham, on the other hand, starts their Premier League season on August 19th against Leicester. Their new striker, Dominic Solanke, hopes to score as many goals as Kane did for the team.
