Liverpool Eye £50m Defender as Yoro Alternative

According to reports, an alternative to Leny Yoro is available to Liverpool; however, his cost would be approximately £50 million. Even so, the player is a worthwhile investment.

Liverpool's Willian Pacho is the name that The Independent refers to when considering a Leny Yoro alternative. Particularly in anticipation of the forthcoming summer, the Reds have been associated with the Eintracht Frankfurt defender.

Liverpool was so desperate to acquire Pacho that they were prepared to negotiate a contract for him to arrive in 2025. These actions are comparable to those implemented in 2017 concerning Naby Keita.

Three hours ago, Ewan Ross-Murray reported that Liverpool is prepared to surpass Arsenal in pursuing a sensational £60 million striker.

In fact, Frankfurt was rumored to be actively seeking a replacement for Pacho, as teams were advocating for him. Nevertheless, everything came to a standstill.

Liverpool clearly searched for alternative targets, with Yoro being the most prominent. It was an expensive transaction that the Reds could not justify, as his unexpected transfer to Manchester United occurred when everyone was expecting him to join Real Madrid.

According to the Independent, the Reds may indeed return to Pacho. Nor would he be inexpensive; the price tag is £50 million, as has been reported throughout the year.

Does he justify the expense?

Willian Pacho, is it a worthwhile investment?
Center-backs of Pacho's age (22) and experience are rare at £50 million.

Undoubtedly, I am not participating in one of the most prestigious competitions in Europe.

He is a young individual who is proficient in data analysis, plays for a reputable team, and, most importantly, managed to transition to a higher level without incident last season.

From Royal Antwerp, Pacho relocated to Frankfurt, where he encountered no difficulties in the Bundesliga.

As such, we think that Pacho would be a valuable asset for £50 million. Nevertheless, is Liverpool willing to place that much value on him?

Indeed, that is the fundamental inquiry. Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konaté, Joe Gomez, and Jarell Quansah are highly effective center-backs. You could also incorporate Sepp van den Berg into that group if he remains.

It is improbable that Liverpool view Pacho as a superior talent to any of the non-Van Dijk players, even if he is considered to be worth £50 million more. This is not the case when there is no apparent necessity for a center-back.

This may change if Joe Gomez departs the club; however, we are uncertain if the club will be able to justify a substantial investment in a defender.
