Liverpool Make First Summer Bid

After placing a £30 million proposal for one of Valencia's players this morning, Liverpool awaits a response.

Liverpool reportedly made a £30 million approach for Giorgi Mamardashvili, according to Relovo. After days of speculation, a bid was anticipated this week.

This transfer is intriguing because the Reds reportedly consider Mamardashvili a long-term replacement for Alisson Becker. One thing is sure: Alisson isn't leaving anytime soon.

On the contrary, Mamardashvili is set to go out on loan straightaway. Even though it's still early in the process, Bournemouth is considered the heavy favorite to sign him.

However, Liverpool is keen to finish this one as soon as possible. Despite assurances that Mamardashvili would be pursued effectively after that, they were devastated when they could not secure Martin Zubimendi after a week of delay.

It would seem that it is currently accurate. The ball is now in Valencia's court as the bid has been submitted.

Mamardashvili desires to leave.

Mamardashvili reportedly wants Valencia to accept the offer and support the transfer. He did this while being aware that he would be on loan to a team in the middle of the table for the foreseeable future.

Nevertheless, he is behind in his strategy, and the outcome will depend on Valencia. Although £30 million or more was always mentioned as an asking price, recent sources indicated they sought to extract as much value as possible from this one.

They will likely try to increase their profit by aggressively pressing Liverpool here. Does Liverpool really need to win this badly?

They are attempting to sign a luxury item and would hate another failure. It will not be catastrophic if the Reds decide they no longer require Mamardashvili, which they may not do for a few years.

We expect Valencia to accept so we can get this one out of the way, but the following days should reveal everything. It won't be long until Liverpool makes their first summer signing.
