Liverpool Open to Selling Veteran Amid Replacement Hunt

It is said that Liverpool is ready to let Wataru Endo go this summer if they can find a better player.

The 31-year-old joined the Reds at the start of Jurgen Klopp's last season as manager of the winners of the Premier League and the Champions League.

Endo came in when the center was rebuilt after Fabinho and Jordan Henderson left for the Saudi Pro League.

Even though he wasn't always exciting, the Japanese player had a good first season at Anfield, helping Liverpool qualify for the Champions League.

Endo played 29 times for Klopp's team in the Premier League, starting 20 of those games. In December, he scored his only goal in a thrilling 4–3 win over Fulham.

Liverpool is 'ready' to let Endo leave.

Reports from Football Insider say that Liverpool is ready to let Endo go after only one year at Anfield. He moved there from Stuttgart last summer.

A story says that the 62-time international will be able to leave the Reds once they find a new midfielder.

It is said that Arne Slot's team is getting close to signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Zubimendi just won Euro 2024 with Spain.

Endo will be able to find first-team chances somewhere else before the end of the window closes once a replacement defensive midfielder has been found.

Marseille is thought to want to sign the brawler. Les Olympiens had a £15 million offer for Endo, which was turned down earlier this summer.

What else does Liverpool have besides Zubimendi?

To get Zubimendi, Sociedad wants the total amount of his release clause to be paid. They may look elsewhere if Liverpool can't get the Spanish player this summer.

It is thought that the Reds have made Adrien Rabiot known that they want to sign him in case they can't get Zubimendi later in the window.

It is not a big surprise that Endo's time at Anfield is ending since he was ranked lower than Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia on Liverpool's buying list.
