Man United Targets Double Bayern Raid

 

Before the end of the transfer window, Manchester United wants to get Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich in a double deal.

Sky Sports Germany has big news: De Ligt and Mazraoui will join Manchester United before the end of the month "if everything goes as planned." 

There are "underway" and "positive" talks between the Old Trafford club and Bayern Munich.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, had both players when he was in charge of Ajax. He is thought to be the main person behind the two-player chase.

With Raphael Varane leaving and Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof still being hurt, along with Leny Yoro's foot surgery, there are holes in the middle of the defense that De Ligt could fill. 

Last season, there weren't enough fullbacks, which is another reason they were interested in Mazraoui.

United gave up 58 goals in 38 league games last season, the most in a single Premier League season in the club's history. This shows they need to add players to their defense and strengthen them. 

Also, the club had a goal deficit of -1 at the end of the league season for the first time since 1989–90.

August 30 at 11 p.m. is the last day for Premier League teams to sign players. United has three more weeks to finalize deals for players they want to sign. During the same time, the season will begin with the Community Shield on Saturday against Manchester City.
