Manchester United Seeks €60 Million Winger to Bolster Attack

This summer, Manchester United reportedly set their sights on Barcelona winger Raphinha.

At 27, Raphinha is keen to remain a Blaugrana. Still, after spending €55 million on Dani Olmo, an attacking midfielder from RB Leipzig, the club is willing to sell to create revenue.

Even though he has already worn the No. 10 jersey for Athletic Club in preparation for the upcoming season, Spanish winger Nico Williams is still a significant target for Barcelona. This might mean Williams stays put until the summer transfer window shuts in 2024.

According to Sport, Barcelona will accept any offer for Raphinha exceeding €60 million, regardless of whether they successfully signed Williams.

According to the Spanish news source, Manchester United have also re-entered the bidding for his services. Despite having an abundance of winger alternatives, the Red Devils are allegedly prepared to trade Antony and are considering a permanent deal for Jadon Sancho.

Consequently, Raphinha has become an important objective.

In 28 La Liga appearances last season, the Brazilian netted six goals and added nine assists; in the Champions League, he was even more impressive, with five goals in only seven games.

Raphinha's present deal with Barcelona is valid until 2027, and his ETV is €29.9 million.

Barcelona, Raphinha

Man Utd is focusing on other areas rather than Raphinha, despite reports to the contrary.

The official announcement of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui's transfers from Bayern Munich is imminent. Erik, ten Hag's team, is reportedly already planning to bring in a new center midfielder.

FootballTransfers has learned via The Transfers Podcast that they are also interested in signing Sander Berge of Burnley even if they are still keen on getting Manuel Ugarte of Paris Saint-Germain.
