Manchester United Weighs Raphinha Move Amid Antony Departure Talks

The United States is now in the running to sign Raphinha, a winger for Barcelona. They want to get rid of Antony this summer.

According to Sport, the Red Devils want to sign Raphinha from Barcelona this summer, and they may let go of Antony and Jadon Sancho.

The big Catalan teams need to sell players to sign the ones they signed this summer. Barça will consider moving the Brazilian if a Premier League club offers the same €60 million (£51 million or $65 million) price.

Al-Nassr, a big club in the Saudi Pro League, has also been linked with a move for Raphinha.

However, the former Leeds midfielder has said he has no plans to leave Camp Nou this summer, even though he has played less for the club since Lamine Yamal's rise last season.

Cristiano Ronaldo's club also interests Antony, who plays for United. Sport reports he is now "close" to leaving Old Trafford, while Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-German are interested in Sancho.

The Blaugrana want to add more players before the transfer window closes on August 30. They have their eyes on Athletic Club's Nico Williams and out-of-favor Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.

However, the club can only bring in more players if they sell some big names, which gives United hope of getting Raphinha.

Erik ten Hag's team will play Fulham in their first Premier League game on Friday, 2024-25. Hansi Flick's team will play Valencia in their first La Liga game the next day. It still needs to be clarified if Raphinha will play in Barcelona's first game of the season.
