Maresca Outlines Neto Role in Chelsea Rebuild

Chelsea's latest big-money signing is forward Pedro Neto, who cost £54 million ($69 million). Enzo Maresca talked about what the player brings to the team.

The Blues keep adding to their team ahead of the 2024–25 season. The club's board, which is run by Todd Boehly, is making more money available for a mad rush to hire players.

Neto, who plays for Portugal, should be fine getting used to his new settings since he already has Premier League experience from his time at Wolves.

Chelsea wants the 24-year-old to jump right into things, and Maresca is excited about how versatile Neto is for his attacking unit.

"I'm very excited, he can offer many things," Chelsea's manager said about getting another winger. He's great one-on-one and can play on either the right or left side.

There is another choice for us because the season will have a lot of games and we need a big team.

Neto is the 10th player that Chelsea has signed this summer. Maresca is updating the team that he took over from Mauricio Pochettino.

There have been a lot of different results in preseason, and no choices have been made yet about who will start the season on fire.

After a 1-1 draw with Inter, Maresca said, "I don't know my team yet." It's been a tough and intense preseason, with many games in different cities. Finally, the week has begun.

We'll take tomorrow off, and then we'll start getting ready for the game.

Barcelona, Manchester City, and Real Madrid beat Chelsea while on tour in the United States. They will play the defending Premier League winners again on Sunday in the first game of the domestic season, which will take place in west London.
