Not even 20 minutes into his first game as Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho got a yellow card.
Mourinho has been in charge of the Turkish club since June, leading them to three Champions League group games.
He worked as a manager for Fenerbahce for the first time on Saturday, when they played Adana Demirspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The 61-year-old coach got into several fights with the referees at the start of the game, which got very heated.
After a bad call for his team in the 20th minute, the Portuguese player yelled at the fourth official, which led to referee Atilla Karaoglan issuing a red card to the Fenerbahce manager.
The Turkish Super Lig giants, who want to win the league title for the first time since the 2013/14 season, got off to a great start when Edin Dzeko scored in the 34th minute to give his team three points.
Thursday is the second leg of Mourinho's team's Champions League third-round qualifying match against Lille. That game is on Tuesday. It was a 1-2 loss for them in the first match, which was played away.
