Napoli Renews Bid for Osimhen, Offers Lukaku and Additional Player

Reportedly, Napoli have tried to get Chelsea and themselves to start negotiating a deal for Romelu Lukaku and Victor Osimhen

It has been widely reported that Napoli would seek to replace Osimhen with Lukaku during the summer transfer window.

However, talks have become more complicated due to their divergent valuations, and neither side is willing to compromise.

Osimhen and his agent have made it plain that he will not be utilized to initially sign for Chelsea on a season-long loan agreement. Furthermore, both Napoli and Chelsea have their own asking costs in mind.

Because of this, Osimhen and Lukaku are at a standstill; they are waiting for anything to happen while Chelsea keeps investing in the final third.

But Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital now have to decide if they want to accept Napoli's attempts to fix things.

Napoli have reportedly offered Chelsea the chance to sign Osimhen, but only if Chelsea agree to their most recent demands, according to Il Mattino.

In a part-swap deal that would also include a cost of €45 million (£38.64 million), Napoli wants to get Lukaku in exchange for Osimhen moving to Stamford Bridge.

Moreover, the Serie A winners from 2022–23 reportedly want Cesare Casadei to join him in moving to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

One player eligible for transfer is Casadei, who was left out of Chelsea's preseason tour of the US by Enzo Maresca.

How is Chelsea going to react?
The financial viability of such a transaction is hard to pin down, but compared to paying more than £100 million for Osimhen, Chelsea seems to be getting more bang for their buck with this proposal.

Since Casadei supposedly wants to return to his own country, finishing his portion of the transfer will probably be a done deal.

Similarly, Lukaku is rumored to be willing to take a pay cut to rejoin with Antonio Conte, thus the only remaining factors are Chelsea and Osimhen.

Getting a contract across the finish line depends on Osimhen having a change of heart and agreeing to a salary cut.
