Nketiah Seeks Premier League Move After Marseille Bid Fails

Eddie Nketiah, a striker for Arsenal, is said to be wanted by Bournemouth.
After having a hard time getting regular playing time last season, the 25-year-old seems likely to leave in the summer.

Last season, Nketiah only got to start 10 of the 27 Premier League games he played in. He scored five goals and set up two others for Mikel Arteta's team.

The player who came up through Arsenal's youth ranks behind Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz and is now looking for a regular spot in a game somewhere else.

Arsenal is willing to sell Nketiah before the transfer deadline, and they have already talked to Marseille about a possible deal.

Bournemouth is thinking about moving for Nketiah

The French club wants to sign a striker to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who used to play for Arsenal, and Nketiah was thought to be interested in joining.

The stated asking price from Arsenal was £30 million, but Marseille refused to meet it. Instead, they are now trying to sign Lens attacker Elye Wahi.

That being said, Nketiah might not be able to move to France, but he could still join another Premier League team before the 28th of August.

The Standard says that Bournemouth is interested in Nketiah and has put the Arsenal player on their short list of goal targets.

In the past, Nketiah also mentioned Crystal Palace. It remains to be seen if they try to sign him before the transfer deadline.

Bournemouth is looking for a replacement for Solanke

Andoni Iraola's team considers Nketiah a possible replacement for Dominic Solanke, who signed with Tottenham Hotspur for £65 million on Saturday.

Solanke will be sorely missed by Bournemouth fans. He scored 19 goals in 38 Premier League games last season.

Because Enes Unal is hurt right now, Daniel Jebbison will be Bournemouth's only healthy center forward to start the new season.

Aside from Nketiah, the Cherries are also said to like Porto striker Evanilson, who has scored 60 goals in 154 games for the Portuguese team.

Fabrizio Romano says that Bournemouth have already lost their chase of the Brazilian forward because Porto turned down their first offer.

Recently, the Portuguese giants turned down another offer from Nottingham Forest, which sees Evanilson as a possible target.
