Olmo's move to Barcelona is now official.
On Friday, Olmo went to Camp Nou, getting ready to become a real Barcelona player. Then, before he was shown, he shared his goodbye message on social media. The player from Spain will likely sign a six-year deal with the Liga leaders.
He said on X, "A young club, a young player..." We became adults, won our first medals, and made history with each other. Many things will always stick out, but two cups and the Super Cup are two. Thank you, @RBLeipzig. I will always love you. Always #LeipzigImmerLeipzig"
Following a great season with RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, OImo's fame grew even more when he led Spain to victory at Euro 2024 this summer.
The 26-year-old is flexible and will fit in with Hansi Flick's scheme as Barcelona tries to catch up to Real Madrid in 2024–25.
Still, Olmo has to pass his test before he can talk to the press for the first time with his new team. Next Saturday, Flick's team will play their first La Liga game against Valencia. After that, many people will attend Camp Nou to see their new signing play at home.
