Ornstein: City to Smash Transfer Record with Alvarez Sale

David Ornstein reported that Manchester City agreed with Atletico Madrid regarding the transfer of Julian Alvarez.

The Argentine transfer saga has rapidly gained momentum.

The player's representatives arrived in Europe on Monday to negotiate a prospective departure from Manchester City, as the player was dissatisfied with his playing time.

An agreement was already reached on Tuesday, resulting in the World Cup and Copa America champions departing. As David Ornstein of The Athletic and other sources reported, Atletico Madrid has agreed with Manchester City.

Man City is expected to earn a club-record €95 million for the 24-year-old, with €70 million to be paid upfront and an additional €25 million that could be earned in incentives.

Personal terms with the Madrid powers must now be finalized by Alvarez, although it is not anticipated to be a significant issue.

Sporty360 comprehends that he is enthusiastic about relocating to Spain and has prioritized a move to Atletico Madrid over other options.

The Chelsea domino effect commences.

The transfer of Alvarez to Atletico will initiate a massive transfer domino effect that will affect Chelsea. Atleti will authorize Samu Omorodion's departure once Alvarez has been confirmed.

Chelsea, who have been discussing with the La Liga side regarding the 20-year-old for weeks, are now prepared to allow him to depart, despite their initial desire to retain the Spanish prodigy. Their persistence is expected to be rewarded.

The anticipated cost of Omorodion is between €35 million and €40 million, while Conor Gallagher is expected to depart for a similar amount.

On Sunday evening, the Chelsea fan favorite consented to a transfer shortly before Atleti's deadline expired. He is anticipated to arrive in Madrid today to finalize his medical examination.
