Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain used to play for Liverpool and Arsenal, and he might be moving back to England. A move to the Championship is in the works.
Last summer, Oxlade-Chamberlain signed as a free agent with Besiktas after leaving Liverpool. However, the 30-year-old didn't do much for the Turkish team, who finished sixth in the Super Lig. Besiktas has now hired Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who used to coach Rangers. The Dutchman wants to make big changes to the team.
Express Sport says that Ipswich Town of the Premier League also wants to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain, but that there have been "no concrete talks" between the two teams about a possible move. The report does say, though, that "salary could be a stumbling block in negotiations."
Any team will have a hard time negotiating with Besiktas over the 30-year-old's pay, and it remains to be seen if they will be willing to do so.
