Real, Barca Eye Liverpool Star

There are rumors that both Real Madrid and Barcelona want to sign Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold soon.
He joined his childhood club's academy when he was six years old, so the 25-year-old just marked 20 years on the books of that club.

Since making his debut for the first team in 2016, Alexander-Arnold has been Liverpool's clear first choice at right back.

The English player has played more than 300 times for Jurgen Klopp's team. Under Arne Slot's direction, the player will start a new era this season.

Alexander-Arnold has won the Champions League, the FA Cup, and two EFL Cups for the Merseyside club. In 2020, he won the Premier League title.

Alexander-Arnold is being "watched" by Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Sun says Real Madrid and Barcelona will keep a close eye on Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool over the next few months.

However, the story says that Real Madrid and Barcelona would make a public move for the right-back if the chance came up.

Alexander-Arnold is coming up to the last year of his contract at Anfield. In the summer of 2025, he could leave for free.

The 29-time international is said to be willing to leave Liverpool, but he is currently in talks to extend his contract on Merseyside.

It is thought that Liverpool is sure they can persuade Alexander-Arnold to stay in the Premier League, even though Real Madrid and Barcelona have made him tempting offers.

While a new era begins in Liverpool's management history, an old one may end in the next twelve months.

When the 2024–25 Premier League season is over, Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah will all be free to sign new contracts.

Even though Van Dijk and Salah are more likely to leave, Liverpool's academy graduate is getting closer to committing to the club for the long run.

Reports say that the Reds and Alexander-Arnold are progressing in talks about a new deal. Slot sees the right-back as a possible captain candidate if Van Dijk leaves.
