Real Madrid Hit by Injury Blow Ahead of Super Cup

The 2024 UEFA Super Cup match between Real Madrid and Atalanta is quickly approaching.

Each European season begins with the Super Cup, a tournament that pits the champions of the previous Champions League against the winners of the last Europa League.

Everyone knows that the Champions League is more prestigious than the Super Cup.

Nonetheless, the victorious team usually enters the next season with a tonne of self-assurance. Carlo Ancelotti doesn't require convincing that this is essential to take seriously.

Carlo Ancelotti will likely start a potent lineup that might be a repeat of his starting eleven from next season. However, a prominent Real Madrid player hurt himself while training for the Super Cup.

Eduardo Camavinga's serious injury in the UEFA Super Cup is a significant setback for Real Madrid.

Miguel Angel Diaz of COPE reports that Eduardo Camavinga has hurt his knee after a collision with Aurelien Tchouameni, a teammate in the midfield, during training.

Camavinga will not play in tonight's UEFA Super Cup match because of the injury, which is not considered significant.

Experiencing a player injury during training is never pleasant. A natural consequence of Carlo Ancelotti's rigorous (but helpful) training methods, Camavinga's injury is not Tchouameni's fault. Intense training is necessary for intense contests.

Since Toni Kroos retired, Real Madrid has placed a premium on the midfielders, especially Eduardo Camavinga, to perform at a higher level and replace Kroos.

Camavinga will not see any increased playing time this evening despite his hopes that the German's retirement will bring more significant playing time.

Camavinga played in 46 games for Real Madrid in all competitions last season. Carlo Ancelotti thinks very highly of him, and this proves it.

His "destroyer" role, played similarly to that of his international teammate N'Golo Kante, makes him an asset in high-pressure situations by allowing him to recover possession.
