Spurs have agreed to pay a club-record amount to buy star striker Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.
According to The Athletic, Bournemouth and Tottenham are almost done making a deal for Solanke. The striker is "desperate" to move to north London. They will likely get a club record fee higher than the £41 million ($52 million) they got for Nathan Ake when they sold him to Manchester City in 2020.
Ange Postecoglou is getting a forward in Solanke and will work well with his pressing scheme. Even though he is only 26, the player is already at the top of his game.

He loves running and can also play with his back to the goal. The English player will have a chance to show what he can do at the top level again after failing to do so with Chelsea and Liverpool.
Last season, Bournemouth's No. 9 scored 19 goals in the Premier League. It's his 29th goal in the division, which means the one-cap international scored more than half of his goals in the top flight in just one season.
If all goes well with the paperwork, Solanke can start playing for Spurs soon and get to know his new teammates before the first Premier League game against Leicester.
