Burnley's Wilson Odobert, a 19-year-old attacker, has been signed by Tottenham Hotspur in a surprise agreement.
The attacker, born in 2004, transferred from Turf Moor to the Lilywhites for an undisclosed sum.
He has inked a five-year contract with Ange Postecoglou's team, lasting until the summer of 2029.
Odobert is Tottenham's fourth acquisition of the summer window, following the signings of Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, and Yang Min-hyeok.
He is the fifth new face to appear following the signing of Lucas Bergvall in January.
The 19-year-old will assume the number 28 uniform in North London, which was previously worn by Jermaine Jenas, Kevin Prince-Boateng, and Kyle Walker and was left vacant by Tanguy Ndombele's departure.
Odobert is anticipated to be available for Spurs' Premier League opener against Leicester City on Monday evening.
He departs Burnley after a single season at Turf Moor, where he established himself in the Clarets' annals.
Robert, a graduate of the Paris Saint-Germain academy, played for Troyes in 2022-23 before joining Burnley in a £10.2m transfer last summer.
He scored four goals and provided three assists in 33 appearances under Vincent Kompany the previous season.
In October 2023, Odobert made history as the youngest Burnley goalscorer in the Premier League by scoring against Chelsea in a 4-1 defeat.
He played in 25 top-flight games for the Clarets last season, but he could not prevent them from relegation.
The attacker, capable of operating on either flank and through the middle, has signed with Tottenham mere days after commencing and scoring in Burnley's 4-1 Championship victory over Luton Town.
He scored the Clarets' second goal of the evening.
Odobert has been a member of the French national team from the Under-16 to the Under-23 level. However, he was not selected for Thierry Henry's silver medal-winning roster for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
