MLS team Charlotte FC is said to have had Newcastle United turn down their first offer for winger Miguel Almiron.
Almiron joined the Magpies from Atlanta United in the Major League Soccer (MLS) for about £20 million in 2019. He has since scored 30 goals and set up 12 others in 209 games across all categories. The 30-year-old still has two years left on his St. James' Park deal, but he has often been linked with a summer move to a club abroad.
Several unknown teams from the Saudi Pro League have talked with Newcastle about a deal for Almiron. However, the winger has yet to move to the Middle East.
Almiron may now go back to the United States. According to Chronicle Live, Newcastle United turned down an initial offer from Charlotte FC to sign the Paraguayan international. Charlotte FC is led by former Aston Villa and Norwich City manager Dean Smith.
The report also says that Newcastle has told Almiron that he is still an important part of Eddie Howe's plans for the first team and that they have no plans to sell the winger for peanuts.
Crystal Palace turned down Fulham's £20 million deal for Andersen.
To stay in the Premier League, Fulham's deal to sign Crystal Palace's Joachim Andersen fell through.
The 28-year-old center-back played 31 games for the Cottagers while on loan from Lyon to Crystal Palace in the 2020–21 season. He then made the move official from Lyon the following summer.
Since then, Andersen has become an important first-team player for the Eagles. He played in 112 games across all divisions, including 38 Premier League games last season.
Football Insider said Fulham offered £20 million to sign Andersen again this summer, but Palace quickly turned it down.
The story also says Fulham's first offer is "nowhere near" what Palace thinks the Denmark international is worth. He cost £17 million three years ago and has two years left on his contract at Selhurst Park.
Many people think Palace will "very unlikely" sell center-backs Andersen and Marc Guehi. Newcastle is particularly interested in Guehi right now.
They "agree" to pay £6.8 million for the Aberdeen scorer.
And finally, Girona of La Liga is getting close to signing Aberdeen scorer Bojan Miovski.
The 25-year-old was given a hero's send-off by Aberdeen fans after their 3-1 home win over St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership last weekend. It made him cry.
Miovski has been an important first-team player for the Dons since he joined in 2022, hitting 44 goals in 97 games across all competitions. However, the striker is getting closer to a move to Spain.
Sky Sports News says Aberdeen will get a club-record transfer fee of around £6.8m when they sell Miovski to Girona. This is more than the £6.5m they got from Liverpool for Calvin Ramsey in 2022.
The two clubs are reportedly almost done with the paperwork needed, and personal issues shouldn't come up.
Miovski, who has played 22 times for North Macedonia, wants to join Girona, who will be playing in the expanded Champions League in 2024–25 after coming third in La Liga last year.
